JANUARY PLAYLIST

What would this blog be without another loose series that I fail to follow up properly?
Welcome to My Monthly Playlist Series! A monthly run of posts and playlist where we look at everything that was good, not so good and everything you might have missed and stick it all into a beautifully compiled Spotify playlist

So, without further ado, January

Here we are, in the month that is best known for being the biggest cause of mild depression for all and everyone.
I expected to see that reflected in the music releases for this month, because that’s definitely been the case in the past.

But I’ve been pleasantly surprised this month. If you saw my Most Anticipated albums list from earlier this month, some of them are now out, are it’s a pretty good precursor for what’s to come.

We’ve seen albums from the likes of Tonight Alive, Fall Out Boy, Waterparks, The Vaccines, To Kill A King and a bunch more. Of course, some of these are better than others, but I had to pick my favourites from this month, I’d have to pick Waterparks (I'm sure you know how I feel about them now) and the third album from British bass-filled beauties To Kill A King, The Spiritual Dark Age

Then we have the comeback singles for a lot of bands and singers that will make go “Ohhhh yeah, those guys!” Rudimental have come out with These Days that has a wide cast of pop singers, as is there custom. Even so, Rudimental know how to hit gold (literally) with their albums, and by the looks of things with These Days, that’s sure to be the case this year.
George Ezra might not have another Budapest on his with Paradise, but the song still has its merit.
Then of course, Australian pop-starlet Troye Sivan dropped his unbelievably infectious My My My! and that video with him looking like an epileptic snack.

In addition to that, be sure not to sleep on the new releases from those lesser known artists. Superorganism and AVIVA dropped some feminine bangers that are sure to catch the ears of a lot of people very soon.

So here we are: The only Playlist you need for New Music...until next month when I make a new one
